Honored Lawyer of Russia Ivan Solovyov believes that if the Usoltsev family, who disappeared a year ago, had changed their place or country of residence, they would have been discovered sooner or later.

According to the lawyer, it is difficult to deceive the intelligent system for detecting wanted persons, and the investigation probably checked whether anyone crossed the border of the Russian Federation using the international passports of the Usoltsev family.

MOSCOW, September 28 - RIA Novosti. The Usoltsev family, which disappeared exactly a year ago in the Krasnoyarsk taiga, if they had escaped abroad, would not have been able to hide there for a long time without a trace, believes Honored Lawyer of Russia, legal scholar Ivan Solovyov.

The Usoltsev family - Sergei, Irina and their five-year-old daughter - disappeared near the village of Kuturchin exactly a year ago - September 28, 2025: they went on a hike to Mount Buratinka and did not return. They also had a corgi dog with them.

“There were versions that the Usoltsev family could hide abroad. If the Usoltsev family, for example, changed their place or country of residence, then sooner or later they would be discovered; they would not be able to hide for a long time without a trace,” Solovyov told RIA Novosti.

According to him, currently in Russia, as well as in many other countries, there is an intelligent system for detecting wanted persons, which is very difficult to deceive.

“I am sure that the investigation checked where the foreign passports of the Usoltsev family are located, and whether anyone crossed the border of the Russian Federation using them,” the lawyer noted.
