The Nantian Temple in Nanfang'ao, Yilan County, lent a gold-leaf Mazu statue worth more than 300,000 yuan to the Suao Wugong Hall. After the owner of the Wugong Hall, named Su, was involved in the controversy over the deity's disappearance after traveling around the country and throwing bags, the situation has turned around. Lin Qishan, the chairman of Nantian Temple, confirmed today (23rd) that the owner surnamed Su has contacted the temple and promised to escort Mazu "home" before the 28th.
