对乡村教育的牵挂,始于多年前的探索。1999年,在一场技术促进乡村教育发展的咨询会上,郭绍青提出一个设想:能否用数字通信卫星,将城里的优质课程资源送到偏远乡村?

拉水泥、架卫星天线、调信号,郭绍青与团队在甘肃会宁县、天祝藏族自治县开展实践,把西北师范大学附属小学的优质课程带到了乡村。后来,这一模式在农村中小学现代远程教育工程中得到推广。

“最忘不了的,是孩子们通过屏幕看到外面世界时,眼睛里闪烁的光。”郭绍青说,当时自己深切地感受到了教育技术学的意义,“那一刻我更加笃定:让每个孩子都能接受公平而有质量的教育,是我们教育人的使命。这件事,值得干一辈子。”

这些年,技术快速发展,郭绍青也在实践中不断发现并破解教育难题。

针对一些乡村学校音乐、美术等课程薄弱的问题,郭绍青于2019年提出师范院校支教服务新模式,让高年级师范生通过网络课堂为乡村孩子授课。甘肃省内8所师范院校参与该模式,惠及16个县的400余所乡村学校。

“在甘肃东乡族自治县的一所小学,师范生给三年级学生上音乐课时,一、二年级学生也凑在窗外听。后来,校长把孩子们集中在一起上课,校园里回荡着动人的歌声。”郭绍青的学生沈俊汝回忆,“这让我看到了乡村孩子的真切需求,坚定了用技术赋能乡村教育的努力方向。”

针对乡村学校缺少科学教育专职教师与设备的问题,郭绍青又提出解决方案,运用智能学习中心构建乡村科学教育新生态,开发科学课程平台。

如今,在甘肃夏河县甘加镇西科小学的科学课上,学生们用平板电脑扫描导学手册上的二维码,就能学习国家智慧教育平台上的视频,还能与科学教育智能体对话。这一方案已在广西、甘肃等地的乡村学校落地,科学的光芒点亮了更多乡村孩子的梦想。

“学生们通过视频第一次看到蚕宝宝,还有老师设计了融合人工智能的语文课。这一幕幕,让我领悟了郭老师常说的话:‘只坐在图书馆里,是写不出好文章的。’”博士研究生宋雨说,“扎根乡村学校,感受一线师生的变化,做研究才更有底气。”

作为师范院校的教师,郭绍青的言传身教影响着学生们,也塑造着未来的“园丁们”。

“去偏远山区、高海拔地区调研,郭老师跟我们同吃同住,白天通过走访了解师生需求,晚上带着我们研讨到深夜,比年轻人还拼!”博士研究生华晓雨说,“毕业后,我想努力成为像他一样有温度、有坚守、有担当的老师。”

这些年,郭绍青培养出130余名研究生。他们像蒲公英的种子,飞向国家需要的地方,为乡村教育注入活力。

这个教师节,郭绍青又收到了天南地北的学生们发来的信息。在云南高校工作的王家阳,主动到基层挂职,推动技术赋能教育;曾调研师范生支教模式的沈俊汝,回到老家河南的师范院校任教,培养着新的师范生……一颗颗种子,在乡村教育的沃土上生根发芽。
