Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei launch an initiative to jointly build a space computing power industry corridor

China News Service, Langfang, Hebei Province, September 12 (Reporter Liu Liang) At the 2026 China Computing Power Conference held in Langfang City, Hebei Province on the 12th, Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hebei Xiongan New Area, and Langfang City joined hands to launch an initiative to jointly build the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Space Computing Power Industry Corridor.

Currently, space computing power is moving from concept verification to large-scale deployment, becoming a new track for competition between major powers and regional collaboration. In order to strengthen forward-looking research on space computing power technology and promote the development of the space computing power industry in an orderly manner, the four places jointly built the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei space computing power industry corridor.

At the launch ceremony, the four places clarified their respective positioning in the space computing power industry corridor. The Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone focuses on "the source of stars and arrows, and the computing power reaches the sky". As the core source of the country's commercial aerospace star and arrow manufacturing, computing power sets out to space from here; the Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone focuses on "Tianhe foundation building and super-intelligence integration", relying on the "Tianhe" series of the National Supercomputing Center in Tianjin to promote supercomputing and space science. Intelligent integration of space computing power; Hebei Xiongan New District focuses on "star network piloting and network computing integration" and relies on the China Star Network headquarters to promote the integrated coordination of satellite Internet and computing power network; Langfang City focuses on "millisecond link, space and earth collaboration" and relies on the millisecond access advantage of the surrounding Beijing computing power hub to achieve the coordination of ground and space computing power.

In order to jointly build the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei space computing power industry corridor, the four places have put forward multiple initiatives, including: accelerating the advancement of core technology research and application scenario exploration of space computing power; initiating the establishment of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei space computing power industry alliance to cultivate characteristic industrial clusters; supporting enterprises and institutions in the region to deeply participate in the construction of the global space governance system, etc.

According to Chinese officials, with the implementation of the initiative, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region will form a complete industrial chain in space computing technology research and development, industrial manufacturing, scenario applications and computing hubs, providing a replicable and scalable collaborative development paradigm for the development of China's space computing industry.
