A man in Hualien County took his eldest sister, who lived with him, on a motorcycle under the guise of inspecting farmland. However, he deliberately drove the bicycle on a bumpy road and crashed the car. He then pinned her down on the grass and raped her when she was unable to resist after surgery on her hand. The criminal court of Hualien District Court concluded that the brother-in-law was sentenced to 3 years and 10 months in prison for the crime of forced sexual intercourse. The man refused and is currently appealing. The civil court recently ruled that the man should pay 400,000 yuan in moral comfort.

The prosecutor's investigation revealed that the defendant and the complainant were related by marriage. In January 2024, the defendant repeatedly asked the complainant to accompany him to a remote farmland on the pretext of inspecting farmland. The complainant refused several times but still kept asking, and reluctantly took the defendant's motorcycle to go with him.
