The General Administration of Customs of China has added three Taiwanese Wendan packaging factories and orchards to the registration list. The Mainland Affairs Council questioned the lack of transparency in the selection criteria.

On September 1, the General Administration of Customs of China announced another batch of registration lists for Taiwanese pomelo packaging plants and orchards. China’s Taiwan Affairs Office claimed yesterday that if Taiwanese pomeloes are to be imported into China, they must adhere to the “1992 Consensus” and “oppose Taiwan independence.” It is understood that the three new ones are all registered orchards and packaging yards from Yunlin. Mainland Affairs Council spokesman Liang Wenjie questioned today that he had learned about the relevant situation through the Ministry of Agriculture, but still could not know why China only approved these three companies. The "Animal and Phytosanitary Information Inquiry" website of the General Administration of Customs of China shows that there are three new companies added to the list in September, all of which are located in Yunlin County, which is governed by the Kuomintang. They include a packaging and processing company "Yunlin County Jiadong Cooperative Farm" and two production companies registered in the personal name of "Zhan Xinlong".
