Pingtung County Ligang Police Station has recently received reports from farmers in Ligang Township, Jiuru Township, Yanpu Township and other places, alleging that property such as pumping motors, waterwheel blades and wires from farmland and breeding ponds were stolen. The police immediately analyzed and compared the cases. , found that the committing methods and characteristics of multiple cases were similar, and it was determined that the same theft suspect might have been committed. On the 27th, a 35-year-old man named Cai was arrested and brought to the case. There were 8 theft cases involved. The prosecutor of the Pingtung District Prosecutor's Office petitioned the court and was allowed to be detained.

The police stated today (29th) that after receiving the report, the Daping Police Station and the investigation team set up a task force to expand the review of surveillance cameras along the route and collect relevant evidence. After careful analysis of the surveillance images and related evidence, the task force identified the 35-year-old Cai as a serious suspect. After the evidence was completed, they applied for a warrant to the Pingtung District Prosecutor's Office and arrested Cai on September 27 at Wuluo Road, Ligang Township.
