The long heat is starting to come to an end.
As of 4 p.m. on the 2nd, the heat wave warning was lifted except for Jeonnam, Gyeongnam, and the Jeju coast.
On Thursday, the 3rd, it will be hot with the perceived temperature rising to around 33 degrees only in Jeonnam, Gyeongnam, and the Jeju coast, where heat wave warnings are still in effect.
As Korea escapes from being on the edge of a high-temperature and humid North Pacific high pressure and moves east from northern China to the edge of a high pressure system, the easterly wind blows in and the late heat subsides.
The lowest temperature on the morning of the 3rd will be 19 to 26 degrees, which is higher than the morning temperature (17 to 22 degrees) at this time of the year, but the highest temperature during the day will be 25 to 33 degrees, similar to or slightly higher than the average temperature (26 to 30 degrees).
Looking at the expected minimum and maximum temperatures in major cities, temperatures are expected to be in the low 30s even during the day, with Seoul 22 and 31 degrees, Incheon and Daejeon 21 and 30 degrees, Gwangju 23 and 33 degrees, Daegu and Ulsan 23 and 29 degrees, and Busan 24 and 31 degrees.
On the 3rd, rain will fall on the east coast of Gangwon, the mountains of Gangwon, the east coast of Gyeongbuk, the east coast of Gyeongbuk, and Jeju from morning to night, and in Busan, Ulsan, and the eastern inland of Gyeongnam from morning to day.
The expected precipitation is 10-40 mm on Ulleungdo and Dokdo, 5-20 mm on the east coast of Gyeongbuk, eastern Gyeongbuk mountainous areas, Busan, Ulsan, eastern Gyeongnam inland, and Jeju, and 5-10 mm on the east coast of Gangwon-do.
There will be showers in southern Chungcheongbuk-do, Honam, and inland Gyeongsang between the afternoon and evening of the 3rd.
The amount of rain showers will be about 5-40 mm in Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Gyeongnam inland, 5-30 mm in eastern Jeollabuk-do, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk inland, and 5-20 mm in southern Chungcheongbuk-do.
There will be thick fog in southern Gyeonggi, Sejong, inland Chungcheongnam-do, and North Chungcheong Province from dawn to morning on the 3rd, limiting visibility to less than 200m. Excluding Seoul, the rest of the metropolitan area, South Chungcheong Province, inland Gangwon, and inland areas of the southern region will be covered with fog with a visibility of less than 1 km. In the Gangwon Mountain region, clouds will flow in at low altitudes driven by east winds, and visibility may be less than 200m.
Strong winds of more than 55 km/h (70 km/h in mountainous areas) will blow in Jeju from the night of the 3rd.
In the case of the sea, the wind will blow strongly at 30 to 70 km per hour (9 to 20 ㎧) from the morning of the 3rd in the far sea south of Jeju and the far sea outside the eastern South Sea, and the waves will rise as high as 2.0 to 3.5 m from the night in the far sea south of Jeju.
