Deeply engaged in rural medical care for 30 years! Tainan Madou Xinlou Hospital won the National Quality Award

The Christian Tainan Xinlou Hospital, which has a history of 161 years, realized the lack of medical resources in Tainan's Xibei and Madou areas 30 years ago, and built the Madou Xinlou Hospital to care for local areas. Moreover, the Jiangjun District is even more remote, with only a health center and one remote clinic. Xinlou medical staff began to provide medical treatment at the Jiangjun Station 13 years ago. So far, there are 6 locations, 2 of which are palaces and temples. They have also broken down religious barriers, making Madou Xinlou the only hospital to win the National Local Management Model Award this year.

Pharmacist Li Nianfeng, the only local pharmacy in Jiangjun District, has also assisted Masin Hospital in delivering medicines to the homes of most elderly patients who have difficulty traveling around 13 years ago. Li Nianfeng praised the Xinlou medical staff for being able to station in the Jiangjun District stronghold for medical treatment, which is of great help in improving the inconvenience of local residents in seeking medical treatment.

Liu Qiju, director of Xinlou Hospital, pointed out that 30 years ago, the Madou area lacked medical resources, and villagers often had to go to urban hospitals when facing emergencies or serious illnesses. The journey to seek medical treatment was arduous and long. At that time, Xinlou Hospital embraced "medical missionary" and determined to enter the Madou area next to National Highway No. 1 to build a hospital. Over the years, persistence and deep cultivation have made Maxin a health fortress trusted by the villagers.

Due to the shortage of medical resources in the Jiangjun District on the Xibei coastline, Xinlou Medical has sent medical staff to local bases to treat patients since 2013. Over the past 13 years, it has successively set up medical clinics in Jiangjunli and other places. So far, there are a total of 6 bases, four of which are Li Activity Centers; two are Liechi Palace and Lishenggong Taoist Temple. It breaks the religious barriers between Christian hospitals and community Taoist temples, and the operation is quite smooth.

Because Madou Xinlou Hospital has been deeply engaged in rural medical care in Madou, Jiangjun and other Xibei areas for many years, it won the "Local Management Model Award" at this year's 28th National Quality Award. It is the only Western hospital in Taiwan to win this award. People including Nan City Health Director Li Cuifeng and Health Insurance Department Southern District Business Team Leader Han Peixuan came to Tainan Xinlou Hospital to witness this honor today and felt honored.
