Cheorwon Goseokjeong Flower Garden exceeds 3 million cumulative visitors since opening

(Cheorwon = Yonhap News) Reporter Yang Ji-woong = Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon-do announced on the 30th that 'Goseokjeong Flower Garden', a representative tourist attraction in the region, has exceeded 3 million cumulative visitors since its official opening in 2021.

The county evaluated that the increasing number of visitors every year leads to an increase in admission fee revenue and greatly contributes to revitalizing local small businesses and commercial districts.

The Goseokjeong Flower Garden, especially in the fall, is attracting attention as a photo spot for visitors, photographers, influencers, and mass media as it creates a spectacular sight with wide-spreading colonies of cockscombs, gaura, angelonia, daisy, pink muhly, and kochia revealing their true colors.

The performance of the flower garden is not only a benchmark for best practices of other local governments, but is also used as a filming location for entertainment, documentaries, and dramas, promoting Cheorwon's clean image and brand throughout the country.

County Governor Kim Dong-il said, “We sincerely thank the 3 million visitors who visited the Goseokjeong Flower Garden for their deep love and interest,” and added, “We will develop it into a luxury flower garden by expanding more diverse content and convenience facilities so that visitors can create unforgettable memories.”

This fall, Goseokjeong Flower Garden will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. until the 31st of next month. Closed every Tuesday.
