The number of inbound and outbound passengers at Hangzhou Port exceeded 3 million this year

As of August 14, the number of inbound and outbound passengers at Hangzhou Port this year has exceeded 3 million. Among them, the number of inbound foreign tourists exceeded 270,000, a year-on-year increase of over 12%, and the visa-free entry foreign tourists exceeded 160,000, a year-on-year increase of over 20%. The inbound foreign tourists mainly came from South Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and other places.

This summer, Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport has added popular international routes to Busan and increased the number of routes to and from South Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, etc. After the start of the summer transport mode, the inbound and outbound passenger flow increased significantly. According to statistics from the Hangzhou Border Inspection Station, during the summer transport period (July 1 to the present), Hangzhou Port has transported more than 580,000 inbound and outbound passengers, including more than 45,000 inbound foreign passengers. Over 21,000 foreign passengers have entered the country enjoying the unilateral visa exemption, mutual visa exemption and transit visa exemption policies, accounting for nearly 50% of the total inbound foreign passengers.

In order to effectively cope with the summer passenger flow peak and continue to optimize the port customs clearance environment, Hangzhou Immigration Inspection Station adheres to technological empowerment, precise policy implementation, and warm service, focusing on the customs clearance needs of domestic and foreign tourists, and launches a series of measures to facilitate people and enterprises to comprehensively improve customs clearance efficiency and service experience.

In response to the growing demand for entry by foreign passengers, Hangzhou Border Inspection Station has fully implemented the electronic entry card for foreigners, and has linked up with airlines to remind passengers to scan the code and pre-fill the form before boarding, during the flight, and after landing, realizing pre-processing of information collection and paperless customs clearance process, shortening the waiting time per foreign passenger; innovatively piloting the "Chengyitong" mechanism for border inspection, simplifying the inspection process for low-risk important business personnel, and making business travel efficient and convenient.
