The fuel and energy complex of the LPR is 75% prepared for the autumn-winter period, social facilities and housing and communal services facilities are 95%.

The LPR is taking measures to provide facilities with passive and active protection from UAV attacks.

The threat of UAV strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine against the facilities of the fuel and energy complex was taken into account in the Lugansk People's Republic in preparation for the autumn-winter period, the head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik told reporters during a press conference held at the site of the Knowledge Society in Lugansk.

“Taking into account the fact that we assume that, of course, enemy attacks will be using unmanned aerial vehicles, our task, as the leadership of the republic, is, of course, to provide our residents with electricity, heat, light, gas. Therefore, all comprehensive measures are being taken,” Pasechnik said.

He clarified that at the moment the fuel and energy complex of the LPR is 75% prepared for the autumn-winter period, social facilities and housing and communal services - 95%. According to the head of the region, alternative sources of electricity and heat supply have also been prepared, including pipes, generators, pumps, transformers, etc.

“Of course, we are taking quite active measures to provide our facilities with passive protection: nets, cables <...>, and, of course, active protection - these are our mobile fire groups, which are also located at the facilities, protecting these facilities so that we do not end up in some bad situation,” Pasechnik explained.
