Another striking statement came from the ruling circles regarding the 'fund' profiteering, which caused Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya to resign from her post as AKP Deputy Chairman and reportedly victimized nearly 500 thousand investors.

AKP's former MKYK member Mücahit Birinci drew attention to the statements made by the NEW Party Chairman Özgür Özel regarding the issue and called for "Whoever is involved in the manipulation should resign immediately, without leaving Özgür Özel alone."

"Without exception to Özgür Özel, whoever is making this exorbitant profit, knowing that the fund will explode, blocking the papers that will ruin the citizens at the highest level, winning 10 to 1, 100 to 1... Whoever is involved in this qualified fraudulent activity... Whoever is involved in this immoral manipulation... Whoever sees this illicit money, and the money that millions of people are entitled to, as a favor for their family and children...

"Without expecting any explanation or revelation; 1- He should resign immediately. 2- Let him reveal himself. 3- He should request the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to take measures against his assets. 4- He should apologize to the entire nation and may he be merciful to the sword of the law.
