Since the peak season purchase of summer grains was launched, all localities have conscientiously implemented the shared responsibilities of the party and government for food security, coordinated market-based purchases and policy-based procurement and storage, and organized grain production and marketing cooperation and docking with agricultural enterprises according to local conditions, effectively stimulating market vitality. Summer grain purchase work has been advanced in an orderly manner, and the market has operated stably. At present, the country has purchased a total of 100 million tons of wheat and 12 million tons of early indica rice. The progress is slightly faster than the previous year. The peak season purchase is nearing the end. Luo Shouquan, director of the Grain Reserves Department of the State Administration of Grain and Material Reserves, said that relevant state departments promptly launched the implementation plan for the minimum purchase price of wheat in Henan and Anhui, and launched the implementation plan for the minimum purchase price of early indica rice in Jiangxi and Hunan. Currently, 1.2 million tons of wheat and 900,000 tons of early indica rice have been purchased at the minimum purchase price, which has played a good role in stabilizing the market and stabilizing expectations.

Autumn grain has many varieties, large output and wide scope. The peak season purchase will start from late September and last until the end of April next year. The current autumn grain growth is good. The sown area of ​​corn in major producing areas such as Northeast China and North China has increased and the yield is good. Unless there is a major disaster in the next month, the yield will remain high. Luo Shouquan said that at present, the grain storage capacity, acquisition funds, personnel, equipment, etc. are ready. It is expected that the purchase volume of this autumn grain peak season will be around 350 million tons.

Next, the State Administration of Grain and Material Reserves will pay close attention to the autumn grain purchase and sales situation, strengthen market monitoring and information release, guide various entities to actively enter the market for purchase, give full play to the leading role of grain reserve enterprises, promptly launch the implementation plan for the minimum purchase price of mid-late rice in qualified areas, and ensure smooth grain sales channels for farmers. At the same time, we will strengthen guidance on scientific grain storage for farmers, and effectively play the role of drying and cleaning grain post-harvest service centers to help farmers reduce losses and increase income.
