Preparations for the 48th WorldSkills Competition Shanghai have entered the sprint stage. Materials for 64 events have arrived and venue debugging is in progress.

Today (September 16) is 6 days away from the opening of the 48th WorldSkills Competition. This year's WorldSkills Competition has landed at the National Convention and Exhibition Center in Shanghai. Preparations for the event have entered the final sprint stage. All construction materials for the 64 competition events have been brought into the venue. The construction of the functional rooms and workstation structures of the competition venue has been basically completed. Final debugging of various facilities and equipment has begun.

This WorldSkills Competition has a total of 64 competition events and uses 8 competition venues. In order to ensure the orderly development of the event, approximately 1 million pieces of infrastructure items have been sorted out in preparation for the event. Multiple departments such as security and emergency response will work together to implement "one policy, one policy" full-process management to build a solid technical guarantee for the safety of the event.

This WorldSkills Competition covers six major areas including transportation and logistics, structure and construction technology. Chinese athletes will compete in all 64 events, and training for each event is currently being advanced simultaneously. At the same time, the overall venue design of this WorldSkills Competition strictly complies with the requirements of the WorldSkills Organization to ensure that players from all countries can quickly adapt to the competition environment.

Including its area, including the placement of its facilities and equipment, including the movement line of players when using it, all are placed according to the standards of the World Championships.

This year's WorldSkills Competition has introduced AI intelligent design technology into hairdressing and other competitions, using digital means to assist contestants in completing creative styling designs, making traditional service skills competitions more technological and innovative.

In order to enhance the viewing experience, this year’s flower arrangement project uses a black light-absorbing background to better display the contestants’ works; the computer project also has a new external display screen to simultaneously present the contestants’ operation processes.

In addition, in order to enhance the audience's sense of participation, the venue has set up a "Try Your Skills" experience area near each event. Audiences can experience the simple operation modules of each event, participate in skill interaction with their own hands, and experience the charm of skills up close.
