Pass across the sea and build a disaster relief line for frontline island villages! The Taiwan Provincial Chenghuang Temple protects the country and the people. After donating a small water tank truck to Juguang Township in 2024 and subsequently injecting 4,000 residential fire alarms in the county, it generously donated again this year and donated a brand new water tank fire truck to the Beigan Branch of the Lianjiang County Fire Department. Yesterday, when the vehicle was handed over in Tangqi, Beigan, Xiao Zhongchuan, chairman of the Taiwan Provincial Chenghuang Temple, led a team of directors and supervisors to donate. Wang Zhongming, the head of Lianjiang County, accepted the donation on behalf of all the villagers.

County Magistrate Wang Zhongming said that Matsu is surrounded by the sea and has a unique Eastern Fujian culture, but the terrain is steep and undulating. The water tank truck donated by the Taiwan Provincial City God's Temple has the characteristics of dexterity, high maneuverability and strong climbing ability. It accurately fills the key gaps in disaster relief in Beigan Old Street and ramp settlements, and provides a solid guarantee for the life and property safety of front-line colleagues and the military and civilians in the township.
County Magistrate Wang Zhongming recalled that the Taiwan Province Chenghuang Temple has protected Mazu for a long time: in October 2024, it donated a water tank truck to Juguang; later, it was considerate of the fire protection needs of homes on outlying islands and donated 4,000 residential fire alarms in the county in one go, lighting up the night for households in four townships and five islands. A beacon of peace; now it has once again purchased new firefighting capabilities for Beigan and sent warmth across the sea for the third time, fully demonstrating the compassion and love of "profound virtue and benefiting the island village". The county government and all the villagers are grateful. The fire department will also strictly implement vehicle maintenance and accurate use to maximize disaster relief effectiveness.
Xiao Zhongchuan, chairman of the Taiwan Provincial City God's Temple, said that the Provincial City God's Temple has long invested 60 to 70% of the temple's donations from various parties into charity, and has been repeatedly recognized by the Ministry of the Interior over the years. Matsu is located on a remote frontline with relatively scarce public resources. Brother Dinghuo works extremely hard to protect the islanders on the front line. The board of directors and supervisors fully support the outlying islands to increase grassroots disaster relief capacity. We hope that with the addition of this water tank truck, brothers Dinghuo in Beigan will be more efficient and secure in their duties. We also pray that the city god’s divine power will protect Matsu from disasters and ensure the health of our families.
Director Cao Dianyu of the Lianjiang County Fire Department pointed out that the new vehicle has completed a full set of equipment inspections and staff operation training, and will be officially incorporated into Beigan's combat capabilities from now on to comprehensively strengthen urban and rural resilience and public safety.
