More than 350 thousand Russians received a deferment from conscription thanks to accounting automation

More than 350 thousand citizens of the Russian Federation received a deferment or exemption from conscription without a personal appearance at the military registration and enlistment office thanks to the automation of registration and conscription processes.

Information about students, fathers of two or more children, and IT specialists is updated automatically based on data from government agencies and employers, which allows for proactive deferments.

MOSCOW, October 1 – RIA Novosti. More than 350 thousand citizens of the Russian Federation, thanks to the automation of registration and conscription work processes, received a deferment or exemption from conscription without personal appearance at the military registration and enlistment office, said Colonel General Evgeny Burdinsky, head of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.

Year-round conscription will take place for the first time in 2026; conscripts are sent to their duty stations twice a year - from April 1 to July 15 and from October 1 to December 31.

“Currently, it is impossible to imagine the activities of military registration and enlistment offices without automating the processes of registration and conscription work. As before, conscription activities are carried out using the military registration register, which has shown high efficiency. The summons generated using the military registration register is sent to citizens in writing and duplicated electronically by posting in a public register, and notification of placement is sent to the personal account on the State Services portal,” Burdinsky said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.

According to him, another important advantage of the system is the proactive provision of deferments. For example, information about students, fathers of two or more children, and IT specialists is updated automatically based on data from government agencies and employers.

“As a result, more than 350 thousand citizens have already received a deferment or exemption from conscription without personally appearing at the military registration and enlistment office. In addition, through State Services, you can submit applications for registration or deregistration from military registration, as well as for making changes to documents. Over the year of the registry’s operation, more than 365 thousand such requests have been processed, which allows you to keep the data up to date and makes the process as convenient as possible for citizens,” he explained.
