Sending conscripts has exceptions in certain regions of the Far North and localities equivalent to them, as well as for citizens living in rural areas and directly involved in sowing and harvesting work.

MOSCOW, October 1 – RIA Novosti. Sending conscripts from assembly points to places of military service will begin on October 10, said Colonel General Yevgeny Burdinsky, head of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.

Year-round conscription will take place for the first time in 2026; conscripts are sent to their duty stations twice a year - from April 1 to July 15 and from October 1 to December 31.

“Taking into account the implementation of a set of measures to form military teams, conscripts from assembly points of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation will begin to leave for the place of military service as early as October 10,” Burdinsky said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.

According to him, in October-December, about 120 thousand conscripts must be sent for military service.
