Cyber operation in 36 provinces: 826 suspects caught, 444 arrests

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that 826 suspects were caught in cyber operations aimed at illegal betting, child obscenity, qualified fraud and laundering of proceeds of crime in 36 provinces in the last 5 days. 444 of the suspects were arrested.

The statement made by the Ministry of Internal Affairs is as follows:

"826 suspects were caught in the operations carried out by our Police in the last 5 days within the scope of the Fight against Cyber Crimes."

Suspects caught in operations carried out in 36 provinces against the crimes of "Illegal Betting, Online Child Obscenity and Harassment, Aggravated Fraud, Laundering of Assets Derived from Crime";

-444 of them were arrested.

-Judicial control provisions were applied to 254 of them. Others' operations continue.

Under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security, Department of Combating Cyber ​​Crimes, MASAK and the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor; As a result of the work carried out by the Anti-Cyber ​​Crime Branch Directorates of Provincial Police Departments, the suspects caught in operations organized in 36 provinces;

-Illegal betting and gambling,

-They act as intermediaries in money transfer on illegal betting sites,

-They advertise illegal betting and gambling sites,

-Unauthorized access to our citizens' mobile banking and game accounts,

-They contain obscene images of children,

-It was determined that they were defrauding our citizens through social media platforms.
