Beihai Maritime Court Qinzhou Tribunal was officially unveiled

China News Service, Qinzhou, September 16 (Cai Chunyan, Lin Hao) On September 16, with the approval of the Supreme People's Court and the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Beihai Maritime Court Qinzhou Tribunal was inaugurated in Qinzhou City, Guangxi.

Wu Bo, Vice President of the Higher People's Court of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said in his speech at the unveiling event that Guangxi will promote the construction of the Qinzhou Court of the Beihai Maritime Court with high standards and a starting point, and integrate the court construction into major deployments such as the construction of the Pinglu Canal Economic Belt, the development of the seaside economy, and the high-level joint construction of the New Land-Sea Corridor in the West, focusing on improving the quality and efficiency of maritime trials, and effectively maintaining the canal navigation order, shipping market order, and water public safety.

The Beihai Maritime Court Qinzhou Court will also improve the connection mechanism between administrative law enforcement and maritime judicial protection, promote grassroots governance, and promote the prevention and diversified resolution of conflicts and disputes at their source.

Luo Bin, deputy director of the Qinzhou Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, hopes that the Qinzhou Court of the Beihai Maritime Court will focus on core tasks such as the construction of the new western land-sea corridor, the navigation operation of the Pinglu Canal, and the upgrading of port industries to build a solid legal barrier for the stable operation of Qinzhou's industrial chain and supply chain. At the same time, we will further deepen the linkage and judicial coordination with relevant functional units in Qinzhou, improve the diversified resolution mechanism for maritime-related conflicts and disputes, promote the deep integration of maritime justice with port management, industrial development, and grassroots governance, and provide legal guarantee for Qinzhou to accelerate the construction of the core hub of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor.

It is reported that the newly established Qinzhou Court of the Beihai Maritime Court will have jurisdiction over maritime commercial cases, maritime administrative cases and maritime enforcement cases in the Qinzhou Port and Fangcheng Port areas and the surrounding inland rivers and ports, as well as the Zuojiang, Youjiang and Yujiang Rivers in Guangxi, Nanning Songcun, Hengzhou Pingtang River Estuary and Pinglu Canal.

The "Beihai Maritime Court's Announcement on the Acceptance of Cases by the Beihai Maritime Court Qinzhou Tribunal" was officially released on the same day, and adjustments were made to the dispatched courts of the Beihai Maritime Court: the Fangchenggang Tribunal was abolished and the Beihai Maritime Court Qinzhou Tribunal was established, which will begin accepting cases on September 16, 2026.
