[Reporter Huang Zhengjia/New Taipei Report] The New Taipei City Cultural Bureau will launch the "Hai Shan Night Walk - New Taipei City Museum of Art Architectural Light Sculpture and Sound and Light Environmental Theater" exhibition at the New Taipei City Art Museum from June 20 to July 12. It uses architectural light sculptures combined with sound and light environment theater to create a 10-minute immersive night experience, echoing the important moment when the Sanying Line is about to open to traffic. Light, shadow, sound and architecture will jointly write the local cultural trajectory covering the historical context.
The Cultural Affairs Bureau stated that this exhibition is artistically directed by artist Chen Yijie, whose work has been recognized by international landmark design awards in recent years, and is jointly created by music director Wang Xiwen and a cross-disciplinary creative team. Through the interweaving of projection mapping, laser, electronic sound and landscape environment, the New Museum of Fine Arts is no longer just a static building, but a "platform of light" open to the city, inviting the public to embark on a perceptual journey through history and the future in the night.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau explained that the "Haishan Night Walk" starts from the ancient place name "Haishan" and starts from the historical context of "Haishan Villa" in the Qing Dynasty to "Haishan County" during the Japanese colonial period. It connects the cultural memories of the current Three Gorges, Yingge, Shulin, Tucheng, Banqiao, Zhonghe, Yonghe and Xinzhuang, and echoes Sanying. The line will be opened to traffic, recoding local textures and future rhythms through light and shadow. The biggest highlight is the "360-degree surround-view projection theater" created using the New Museum of Fine Arts and the surrounding landscape. Light is not only projected on the surface of the building, but also extends along the landscape, combining sound and spatial rhythm to form an immersive sensory field.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau pointed out that in conjunction with the "2026 New Taipei Summer Solstice Music Festival", during the event from June 20 to 21, the public can also be the first to enjoy the highlight version of "Sea and Mountain Night Walk" at the New Museum of Fine Arts outdoor park, from 7 p.m. to June 23 to 26 At 8 o'clock, four 10-minute word-of-mouth performances will be launched every day; the complete performance will last from June 27 to July 12.
