Changhua County launches summer youth project, police units jointly inspect high-risk places

The Summer Youth Protection Youth Project officially started today (July 1). Last night, Changhua County Police Chief Chen Shihuang, following the task reminder from County Magistrate Wang Huimei, personally led a team to high-risk places frequented by teenagers such as KTVs and Internet cafes to carry out preventive inspections and on-site inspections. He called on the operators to abide by the law and provide high-quality and safe leisure spaces.

Last night, the Changhua County Police Department formed a joint inspection team with 8 units including the County Social Affairs Department, Construction Department, Economic and Green Energy Development Department, Fire Department, Health Bureau, Student Off-campus Life Counseling Association, Youth Counseling Committee and Police Department, and mobilized a total of 260 police officers from each branch of the police station to strengthen inspections at 82 high-risk places in the county to fully protect the safety of teenagers.

County Mayor Wang Huimei pointed out that summer vacation is an important period for young people to cultivate their interests and expand their horizons. The county government attaches great importance to the health and safety of every child. This time, various bureaus of the county government took the initiative to carry out preventive inspections and on-site inspections of places frequented by young people such as KTVs and Internet cafes, calling on operators to operate in compliance with the law and provide high-quality and safe leisure spaces. The county government will continue to integrate education, social affairs, and police resources to create a positive and friendly summer environment to accompany young people to spend a wonderful summer with peace of mind.

Police Chief Chen Shihuang said that during the youth project, the service will be comprehensively strengthened and inspections of illegal business premises will be strengthened to prevent young people from being exposed to drugs or being used by fraud groups to become involved in crime. In addition, in order to encourage young people to participate in positive activities, a 3-on-3 basketball game will be held, combining security maintenance and educational promotion, to provide a variety of safe summer options to make children happy, parents feel at ease, and jointly protect the health and hope of young people.
