The Central Meteorological Administration predicts that there will be a little moisture on the windward side tomorrow (25th), and the weather will mostly be good from the second day of the holiday to next Wednesday (30th). However, next Thursday (October 1) will usher in another northeast monsoon, and the north and east will become cooler and have more moisture.

Lai Xinguo, a forecaster from the Meteorological Administration, said that there will be slightly more moisture on the windward side tomorrow. There will be scattered short-lived showers in greater Taipei, the east and the Hengchun Peninsula. There will be local short-lived showers in the southern mountainous areas in the afternoon. There will be scattered short-lived showers in the afternoon south of Chiayi and other mountainous areas. The weather will be cloudy to sunny in other places.

"The weather is almost always good from the second day of the holiday to next Wednesday," Lai Xinguo said. The weather will be stable from Saturday (26th) to next Wednesday (30th), with cloudy to sunny conditions in various places. Only sporadic short-term showers will occur in mountainous areas in the afternoon. However, please note that in the early morning of Saturday (26th), there will be local fog or low clouds affecting visibility from Changhua to Tainan. Passers-by must pay attention.

Lai Xinguo pointed out that the northeast monsoon will strengthen again next Thursday (October 1), and it will become cooler and more moist. There will be sporadic short-term showers in the north and east of Taoyuan, and it will be cloudy to sunny in other areas, with some short-lived showers in the mountainous areas in the afternoon. After the northeast monsoon strengthens slightly, the daytime temperature will drop slightly. By then, the daytime temperature will be about 28 degrees to 31 degrees in the north and Yilan, and about 31 degrees to 32 degrees in central and southern Taitung.

As for the mild typhoon Shuliji that continues to move northwest and west, Lai Xinguo pointed out that it will turn to the northeast on Sunday. Even when it is closest to Taiwan, it is still 500 kilometers away, but its Category 7 storm wind radius is only 150 kilometers. It is far away from Taiwan and its impact is very low. However, it should be reminded that due to Typhoon Shuliji, there is a possibility of long waves on the eastern coast of Hanlan Island, Green Island, and the Hengchun Peninsula on Saturday and Sunday.

Lai Xinguo also reminded that a new wave of annual astronomical tides is coming from Saturday. People in coastal areas should pay special attention to tide level changes. The impact date is from Saturday (26th) to next Wednesday (30th). The affected area is on the western coast, from New Taipei to Changhua, and Penghu. Special attention should be paid to seawater intrusion.
