The latest forecast for Typhoon Shuliji shows that it will turn northward early on the sea some distance away from Taiwan, which will not have an impact on Taiwan's weather. Instead, the weather will be more stable due to the downdraft outside the typhoon.

According to observations from the Central Meteorological Administration, the center of Typhoon Shuliki at 8 a.m. today (24th) is at 18.1 degrees north latitude and 134.6 degrees east longitude, that is, 1,490 kilometers southeast and east of Eluanbi, moving northwest to west at a speed of 22 kilometers per hour. The Meteorological Administration predicts that Shuliji will begin to turn northward around the day after tomorrow (26th) in the eastern sea off Taiwan and head towards the southern waters of Japan.

Instead, the weather will be more stable due to the downdraft outside the typhoon.

However, Typhoon Shuliki will be closer to Ryukyu Island from the evening of next Sunday (27th) to noon of next Monday (28th), and may bring wind and rain.
