Su Qiaohui established a physician support association and raised four major political opinions including raising vaccine disposal fees

Su Qiaohui, candidate for mayor of New Taipei City of the Democratic Progressive Party, established the "Physician Support Association" today (30th). In addition to thanking doctors for protecting people's health over the years, Su Qiaohui also made four political commitments, including increasing the disposal fee for routine vaccines for young children, lowering the threshold for cold chain distribution of public vaccines, creating a "New Taipei Smart Biomedical Corridor", and implementing a hierarchical medical system. Yan Hongshun, chairman of the New Taipei City Medical Association, shared their experience in cooperation, including coordinating epidemic prevention supplies during the epidemic, promoting tax exemptions and stabilizing clinic operations, and striving to inject government budgets into health insurance, which led to a rebound in point values. He affirmed that Su Qiaohui is the mayor who can best "take care of the 'caregivers'."

Former Minister of Health and Welfare Qiu Taiyuan said that Su Qiaohui actively promoted bills to improve the medical environment and promote national health. She not only fought for the rights and interests of doctors, but was also an excellent leader who could effectively communicate, integrate the opinions of various medical groups and build consensus.

Su Qiaohui said that in the past, she worked with everyone to safeguard medical rights and improve the medical environment, such as promoting bonus incentives for Spring Festival clinics and lowering the reasonable number of medical consultation days to 22 days per month, etc., to provide the most substantial support for medical staff. At the beginning of this year, she proposed that young children receive free rotavirus and enterovirus vaccines. In order to thank the frontline medical institutions for promoting medical vaccination, she will push to increase the routine vaccine disposal fee for young children to 300 yuan.

In addition, Su Qiaohui said that the current threshold for professional cold chain vaccine distribution in New Taipei is as high as 400 doses. She hopes to lower the threshold for public vaccine cold chain distribution to 100 doses, introduce big data prediction and appointment scheduling mechanisms, establish a high-efficiency distribution network, reduce administrative burdens and inventory risks at the grassroots level, and implement hierarchical medical care to allow hospitals to focus on "urgent, severe, difficult and rare" care, and encourage grassroots clinics to invest in family physician programs, chronic disease prevention and home emergency care.

Su Qiaohui also said that she wants to connect the industrial advantages of Nangang Biotechnology Cluster and Xizhi to create a "New Taipei Smart Biomedical Corridor", and use the city government to coordinate clinical verification, accelerate the launch of innovative medical materials, and subsidize the introduction of smart medical care at the grassroots level to relieve the pressure of medical care.
