In Moscow, scammers defrauded a schoolboy out of five million rubles. Lenta.ru was informed about this by the press service of the capital’s department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the investigation, a 15-year-old schoolboy from the Western Administrative District of the capital received a phone call allegedly from law enforcement officers and was informed that his parents were in trouble and were facing criminal liability. To save his father and mother, he was convinced to take all of his mother’s jewelry and take it to Filevsky Park. There the parcel was taken by a 19-year-old messenger from the scammers. An accomplice of the scammers handed over the jewelry to buyers, and transferred the proceeds to the scammers into a crypto wallet.

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs managed to quickly track down the scammers' accomplice and detain him.
