On Thursday, the head of the State Committee for Fishing and Hunting Supervision of Tuva, Artysh Salchak, told RIA Novosti about the death of a tourist from Moscow as a result of a bear attack; the tragic incident occurred on September 22. A group of seven people, despite the ban on visiting forests, took a boat up the Yenisei and settled in the remote taiga of the Todzha region. The bear attacked one of the tourists, who received severe injuries to the facial part of the body. The tourist was taken by air ambulance to the republican hospital, where he died.
