The leader of a criminal group, Taras Gradil, was detained in Novouralsk.

The gang under his leadership was engaged in extortion, beating, intimidating citizens and embezzling payments from SVO participants.

Law enforcement officers identified numerous episodes of criminal activity by the group and opened a criminal case under the article of fraud committed by an organized group.

EKATERINBURG, September 29 - RIA Novosti. Security forces detained the leader of a criminal group, Taras Gradil, in Sverdlovsk Novouralsk; his gang was engaged in extortion, beating, intimidating citizens and embezzling payments from SVO participants, law enforcement agencies told RIA Novosti.

“In Novouralsk, law enforcement agencies began cleaning up the criminal group of Taras Gradil. This morning, polite people came to the 48-year-old man and searched him... He was detained, investigative actions are underway with him,” said the agency’s interlocutor.

He noted that the gang led by Gradil was engaged in ensuring face control in entertainment establishments in Novouralsk and Verkh-Neyvinsk, attracting young people to its ranks. The number of organized crime groups, according to preliminary estimates by security forces, is about 20 people.

“Instead of getting a normal job, the young people whom Gradil put together into a gang create conflict situations, beat and intimidate citizens,” the agency’s interlocutor emphasized.

Law enforcement officers have identified numerous episodes of criminal activity by the group. In particular, the organized crime group was engaged in extorting money from the population. Receiving receipts, they lent money at interest, after which they copied other people's property. The attackers were also involved in misappropriation of payments from SVO participants.
