A Taichung man owes NT$30,350 in vehicle-related expenses. The Administrative and Enforcement Department seizes the deposits from the farmers' association to collect the money.

A 48-year-old man surnamed Liu in Taichung was found guilty of making noise when his car was seized. He owed a total of NT$33,350 in arrears of vehicle license taxes, fines, highway maintenance and safety management fees, and compulsory automobile liability insurance. However, he went all the way to the end. Notices were ignored, no one could be found during the inspection, and even deposits from general financial institutions were found. Unexpectedly, the Taichung Branch Office persisted in the investigation, and finally found a breakthrough from the farmers' association deposits and directly deducted the full amount.

After investigation, the vehicle owned by Mr. Liu passed through Houli District, Taichung City in September last year. The local area was equipped with sound camera technology law enforcement equipment. After investigation, it was found that the vehicle caused noise pollution and disturbed the peace. Mr. Liu failed to go to the designated location for inspection according to the notice period, and was punished. In addition to being fined in accordance with the Noise Control Act, Liu Nan also owed automobile license taxes and fines for 2024 and 2025, as well as highway maintenance and safety management fees, compulsory automobile liability insurance and other expenses. When related cases were transferred to the Taichung Branch of the Administrative Enforcement Agency of the Ministry of Justice for enforcement since January 15 this year, Liu was notified to pay according to law, but he ignored it. The enforcement officers further checked the information and found that Liu's vehicle was more than 20 years old, and he also visited his residence to no avail.

Then on July 21 A seizure order was issued on August 31. After investigation, the Farmers Association withheld the full amount of the money in accordance with the law and notified Liu Nan. Unexpectedly, Liu Nan remained unmoved. Finally, it issued another collection order on August 31, requesting the Farmers Association to release the withheld funds and transfer them to the tribunal to collect and enter them into their account.
