The fishing vessel "Triumph" caught fire off the coast of Kamchatka, in the Pacific Ocean east of Cape Khodzhelaika.

Due to heavy smoke, it was not possible to tow the ship, and the operation was postponed until Monday morning.

25 people were evacuated, four were hospitalized in serious condition, the whereabouts of another four sailors have not been established.

P.-KAMCHATSKY, September 27 – RIA Novosti. The fishing vessel "Triumph", burning off the coast of Kamchatka, could not be towed due to heavy smoke, the towing operation was postponed until Monday morning, the Marine Rescue Sub-Center of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky told RIA Novosti.

As previously reported in the Marine Rescue Subcenter, the captain of the rescue vessel "Suvorovets" decided to tow the "Triumph" to the port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

“Rescuers were unable to board the seiner for the purpose of inspection and towing due to heavy smoke. The operation was postponed until daylight,” the message says.

A fishing vessel with 29 crew members on board caught fire on Friday evening in the Pacific Ocean east of Cape Khodzhelaika, reported the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kamchatka Territory. 25 people were evacuated, four were hospitalized in serious condition.
