The US does not have missiles capable of countering the Russian Burevestnik

The United States has no missiles that can match Russia's Burevestnik nuclear-powered cruise missile. This shatters the country's illusions of invulnerability, says a Washington Examiner (WE) article.

“Instead of striving to repeat the leap in energy density achieved by Moscow, many American analysts just shrug it off. This is dangerous and short-sighted,” the article states. According to journalists, Russia is already preparing to test a nuclear-powered rocket, while the United States has no plans to build any analogues.

The author of the article argues that Washington needs to immediately obtain such technologies “for deterrence and parity.”

“We need this too. But we are not doing anything,” the material says.
