Zhang Yumeng posted on Facebook that five elders in Taipei's Wenshan District had more than 10 million yuan stolen from their pension money by the supervision of city social workers. The investigation found that the social worker surnamed Jiang was originally the social worker supervisor of the Elderly Welfare Section of the Taipei City Social Affairs Bureau. Some elders were unable to take care of themselves and had no relatives or friends. The Social Affairs Bureau would keep their bankbooks and seals. The social worker supervisor surnamed Jiang was responsible for managing the retirement savings of at least five elders.

Zhang Yumeng pointed out that these five elders had mental disorders or mental defects and were unable to express their thoughts freely, so the Social Affairs Bureau was their only support. Unexpectedly, from May last year to June this year, social worker Jiang, who was suspected of self-stealing, took away more than 12 million of these elderly people's money.

Zhang Yumeng further pointed out that her method is very simple. The resettlement agency where these elders live will apply to the Social Affairs Bureau for care fees. The elders sometimes need to buy food and diapers. Anyway, as long as they have living expenses, the social worker surnamed Jiang will submit a signature to the Social Affairs Bureau and apply to collect cash on their behalf. But over the past year, she seemed to have "explained more for less" and overstated the expenses. For example, if the resettlement agency fee was actually 200,000, she would claim 500,000, so that she could pocket the price difference of 300,000. In this way, she could make between 7,800 and 8,000 to more than 100,000 each time.

Zhang Yumeng said that the prosecutor arrested her at the Sanchong rental house yesterday and found 13 brand-name bags including Hermès, Chanel, and LV, Cartier watches, and even a diamond ring at the scene. The case came to light because the social worker surnamed Jiang resigned in June this year. His successors discovered that the amounts in many elders' accounts had become inexplicably less. The Social Affairs Bureau found out and reported the case as soon as possible.

Zhang Yumeng criticized that the problem is that the case is so outrageous that the Taipei City Social Affairs Bureau has not discovered it for more than a year.
