A fire alarm was reported in the Beiguan Market in Yilan City today. A wire was suspected to have caught fire in the ceiling exhaust fan of the women's restroom on Kangle Road, and white smoke and a pungent burning smell came out. The market management office immediately cut off the power and responded. The fire department arrived at the scene and confirmed that there was no concern about the spread of the fire and no casualties. The manufacturer is currently conducting comprehensive repairs and is expected to restart after 5 p.m.

The market management office pointed out that it rushed to the scene after receiving reports of smoke from the stalls. In order to prevent the disaster from spreading to the surrounding area, the personnel quickly cut off the main switch of the public toilet and notified firefighting assistance. Since the power outage was handled appropriately and the site was safe, it has been handed over to a professional water and electricity manufacturer to check and repair the pipeline. It will only be restarted after confirming that there are no concerns about leakage.
