In the Moscow region, compensation of 50% of the cost of college education for large families has been introduced

MOSCOW, September 30 – RIA Novosti. Families raising four or more children began receiving payments as part of a new support measure. From January 1, 2026, they will be compensated for half the cost of their child’s paid education in college. Vice-Governor of the Moscow Region Lyudmila Bolataeva spoke about this at an operational meeting, 360.ru reported.

“We have launched a new measure for parents with many children: if a family is raising four or more children, we will compensate half the cost of the child’s education at college - without any limit on the amount. The budget has allocated 50 million rubles for this, and more than a thousand students will receive support,” she said.

As noted in the press service of the Ministry of Social Development of the region, the upper limit of payment has not been established - compensation will be exactly 50% of the actual cost.

To receive the payment, the child must be from a family raising four or more children. The support measure applies to students who are receiving secondary vocational education for the first time.

Training must take place on a paid basis on a full-time basis at a state educational organization in the Moscow region. An application for compensation can be submitted through the regional government services portal.
