A man in his 50s wearing an electronic anklet was arrested on charges of secretly filming a woman's body at a fireworks festival.

A man in his 50s who wore a location tracking electronic device (electronic anklet) and secretly filmed women's bodies at the Seoul International Fireworks Festival site was caught by the police.

On the 7th, Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that it was investigating A, a man in his 50s, on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (filming using cameras, etc.).

Person A is accused of secretly filming the bodies of two teenage women with a cell phone at Hangang Park in Yeouido, where the Seoul International Fireworks Festival was held, at around 4:40 p.m. on the 5th.

The police arrived after receiving a report from a citizen at the scene and arrested Mr. A. At the time of arrest, Mr. A was wearing an electronic ankle bracelet.

Person A is said to have denied the charges during police investigation.

The police applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A, but the prosecution rejected it. The police plan to investigate whether Mr. A committed additional crimes through cell phone forensics.
