The Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation reported psychological pressure and threats against election commission employees and their children

Election commission employees were subjected to psychological influence and threats during the elections, said Ella Pamfilova, Chairman of the Russian Central Election Commission.

There were 33 cases of threats against election commission employees, including their children.

Election commission employees were subjected to psychological influence during the elections, and their children were subjected to threats, said Ella Pamfilova, Chairman of the Russian Central Election Commission, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Of course, colossal psychological pressure was exerted on our colleagues in the form of various kinds of personal threats, targeted threats. The most, I don’t know how to say, inhumane, vile, base, that they even threatened children, children, not only family members, relatives, but children,” Pamfilova said.

The CEC Chairperson noted that 33 such cases were recorded.
