According to the source, the representative of the famous gypsy dynasty experienced health problems for a long time. “Sergei was seriously ill. He struggled for a long time,” the publication’s source said.

It is noted that the funeral service for Sergei Erdenko will take place in Moscow, in the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow.” The artist’s relatives also began collecting funds for the funeral.

The actor became famous on the stage of the Romen Theater, and in 1990 he created the group Loiko, which performed gypsy music at many venues around the world. In 1991, Erdenko's team recorded a joint album with The Rolling Stones. Later, the musicians created the soundtrack for the film “Eugene Onegin” with Liv Taylor and Ralph Fiennes.
