Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said a meeting with Trump is impossible without restoring trust

Iranian leader Masoud Pezeshkian said that his meeting with American leader Donald Trump will not take place until trust is restored between the two countries. The politician made this statement in response to a question from a CBS journalist.

The correspondent asked the Iranian President if he could meet with the President of the States or invite him to Iran.

“Look, first of all, you know what the situation is in Iran. What they did to us and our people really upset people,” Pezeshkian responded.

He also confirmed the journalist’s words that, from a political point of view, such a meeting is very difficult to organize. The meeting will not take place until trust is restored. The US is difficult to trust, the head of Iran complained.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow welcomed the conclusion of a ceasefire memorandum between Iran and the United States, but the achieved truce turned out to be fragile. In turn, Donald Trump informed those close to him about the possibility of resuming attacks on Iran after the November elections to the US Congress.
