The four-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday started yesterday (25th). The weather in Taichung City was fine, and tourists flocked to various attractions, especially the latest attraction on the sea line. The Mazu statue in Da'an Port, the tallest in Taiwan, was completed and unveiled, attracting tourists. Local residents also suggested widening Lane 140 of Zhongshan North Road to allow vehicles to connect the Mazu Park and Marina Paradise via the West Coast Expressway.

The Da'an Port Mazu Statue has been completed recently, and the donation ceremony of the Da'an Port Mazu Statue and the opening ceremony of the Taichung Ocean Tourism Season have been scheduled for October 3. Residents of Haician Community pointed out that they have not seen so many tour buses entering the coastal fishing village for a long time. They hope that the city government will plan the development of Haician Old Street and widen Lane 140, Zhongshan North Road, Lianwai Road, so as to promote the tourism development of Haician Community and Da'an Marina Paradise.

The Taichung City Government's Construction Bureau said today that it has been found that the relevant road sections are currently not urban planned roads. It is currently undergoing a traffic network review and a feasibility assessment of road widening and construction. Subsequent matters will be handled based on the review and assessment results.
