Employees of the Russian FSB Directorate for Kabardino-Balkaria detained a local resident on suspicion of preparing an attack on parishioners of one of the religious institutions.

A criminal case has been initiated against the woman under articles “High Treason” and “Attempted Commitment of a Terrorist Act” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

NALCHIK, October 9 – RIA Novosti. Employees of the Russian FSB Directorate for Kabardino-Balkaria detained a local resident who is suspected of preparing an attack on parishioners of one of the religious institutions on instructions from the Ukrainian special services, the regional agency reported.

“Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic suppressed the illegal activities of a 35-year-old resident of the republic... According to available data, the suspect established contact with representatives of the Ukrainian special services and, on their instructions, was to carry out an attack on parishioners of one of the religious institutions of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic,” the report says.
