Park said, "Kim Yong-eun, who was the general manager of Lee Jae-myung's primary campaign in 2021, received illegal political funds of about 600 million won through Nam Wook, Jeong Min-yong, and Yoo Dong-gyu to create an outlying organization, and was sentenced to 5 years in prison (appeal trial in progress)." He added, "This money was used to manage 7 organizations, including the 'Basic Income Movement Headquarters' in which Yong Hye-in participated." “It was stated in the ruling,” he said.

The first trial ruling quoted by Rep. Park states that former Deputy Director Kim began preparing to form a presidential primary camp for President Lee around late July 2020, and then, following the proposal to establish a basic income movement headquarters on November 19, 2020, 17 regional headquarters were launched, starting with the Gyeongnam headquarters, by April 2021.
