As tensions between the United States and Iran continue, Iran has used a secret trade mechanism similar to barter to bypass U.S. sanctions and purchase billions of dollars worth of goods from China, including military equipment and air defense systems. Sources revealed that this arrangement provides an important economic lifeline for Tehran. China obtains Iranian oil at a discount and protects related companies from international scrutiny.

Twenty-five years later, the trial of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has not yet begun. The families of the victims are worried that their elderly relatives may not be able to wait for the verdict. The trial has been repeatedly delayed due to issues such as the exclusion of torture evidence. It is expected that the opening of the trial in June 2028 may be postponed again.

After Algeria announced that it has severed diplomatic relations with the United Arab Emirates, it will close its airspace to civilian and military aircraft registered in the United Arab Emirates starting tomorrow, with the exception of commercial flights at the capital Algiers Airport, which will continue to operate until the end of 2026. The move stems from long-standing tensions between the two sides, with Algeria accusing the United Arab Emirates of provocative behavior in North Africa and the Sahel region and threatening its stability and security.

If the canyon is blocked, shipping will detour around the Cape of Good Hope, causing freight rates to soar. Adding to tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, the global energy supply chain will face a serious impact. The conflict in Yemen is actually the epitome of the game between Iran and the United States. Four years after the ceasefire, the situation has deteriorated sharply.
