Wing Fung Bank reported a number of abnormal transfer incidents this morning. Dozens of accounts automatically transferred NT$100,000 to the same Taipei Fubon Bank account without authorization. In this regard, Beifuyin stated that after receiving the notification, it immediately listed the beneficiary account as a controlled (withdrawal prohibited) account and suspended related transactions. Currently, none of the abnormally credited funds have been withdrawn, so the public can rest assured for the time being.

At around 9 a.m. today on the social platform Threads, people reported that NT$100,000 was automatically deducted from their SinoPac accounts. Many victims pointed out that they did not receive any account login or verification code notification before the transfer occurred, but directly received a withdrawal notification from the official Sino-Fung Bank LINE account; in addition, the victims also discovered several unusual similarities: the first digits of their ID numbers were all "P" (registered in Yunlin County), the Beifu Bank account that received the payment was not a pre-set agreed account, and the transfer amount was as high as 100,000 yuan, exceeding the 50,000 yuan limit for a single non-agreed transfer. It was reported on the Internet that there may be as many as 50 victim accounts, causing panic among many Wing Fung Bank depositors.

Beifuyin stated that after receiving the notification, it immediately listed the account as a prohibited account, suspended relevant trading functions, and simultaneously notified the police. It is currently confirmed that none of the money credited to the account has been transferred out. In the future, the bank will cooperate with the police investigation and actively assist customers in handling the return of funds in accordance with relevant laws and operating procedures to safeguard the rights and interests of customers.
