China's auto exports rise 67 percent in 2026

In 2026, global automobile exports from China grew by 67 percent. Autostat reports about soaring supply volumes, citing data from the Chinese Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

In eight months, new vehicle exports from China rose to 7.15 million units, with shipments of new energy NEVs (mainly electric cars and plug-in hybrids) increasing by 124 percent to 3.43 million units. Delivery volumes of vehicles with internal combustion engines increased by 35 percent, to 3.72 million units.

Since the beginning of the year, 190.5 thousand new passenger cars have been imported directly from China to Russia (plus 22 percent year on year). About 40 thousand more new Chinese-assembled passenger cars were imported through Kyrgyzstan - the volume increased by 2.5 times.

“I would like to note that this data does not take into account vehicle kits for the Russian and Belarusian assembly of Chinese cars with various nameplates,” said the head of the agency, Sergei Tselikov.
