Chiayi City honors 67 golden couples, Mayor Huang Minhui sings to pay tribute

The Chiayi City Government held a golden wedding tribute event this morning called "The Harmony of Music and Music, Love for a Lifetime" to commend 67 couples who have been married for more than 50 years, 29 of whom have been married for more than 60 years. Chiayi Mayor Huang Minhui attended the event and sang "The True Meaning of Love" and "Holding Ruan's Hand" to praise the golden couples as role models for society and the younger generation.

94-year-old Xiao Dingcheng and his 87-year-old wife Xiao Chengbi were introduced by colleagues. Xiao Dingcheng fell in love with his wife at first sight and got married. The two have complementary personalities and have supported each other for 69 years. Xiao Dingcheng said that his wife has always taken good care of the family and knows how to manage money, which is the strength that allows him to work without worries; Xiao Chengbi praises Mr. Xiao Chengbi for being down-to-earth, family-oriented, and attaches great importance to the education of his children.

Jiang Renxiong, the elder brother of former legislator Jiang Yixiong, and his wife Jiang Luolihua were married on a blind date. They did not know each other, but they held hands and supported each other for 68 years. 88-year-old Jiang Renxiong said that he only glanced at his wife before marriage. After marriage, their feelings gradually accumulated in daily life and they supported each other.

Jiang Renxiong's children said that although their parents' relationship was not vigorous, they took care of each other and cared about each other every day, and their relationship was long-lasting. Now, even though their parents are old, they still care about each other's physical condition, love their younger generations, and the family has a close relationship.

Huang Minhui said that she was very touched when she heard the golden couple Xiao Chengbi share that they are even happier today than they were on their wedding day. The mood of a golden wedding is different from that of a newlywed. It is precious to be able to go through decades and experience the ups and downs of life, and to receive blessings and share the achievements along the way with the family.

She said that family is not a place for reasoning, but a place for feelings and love. Only by tolerating and respecting each other can the relationship last a long time. Each golden couple spends a lifetime of companionship to pass on the love and happiness of the family from generation to generation.
