Trump is confident that there will be no direct military clash between Britain and Russia

US President Donald Trump expressed confidence that there will be no direct military clash between Great Britain and Russia.

The British Chargé d'Affaires in Russia was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, where she received a strong protest in connection with the increase in supplies of UAVs and other weapons systems to Kyiv.

Russia believes that arms supplies to Ukraine directly involve NATO countries in the conflict and hinder the settlement.

UN, September 22 - RIA Novosti. US President Donald Trump expressed confidence that there will be no direct military clash between Britain and Russia, while making it clear that he sees no reason for concern on this topic.

During a conversation with journalists on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Trump was asked whether he was able to prevent, as a number of British and European politicians claim, an inevitable direct armed conflict between London and Moscow.

“I think everything will be fine,” Trump replied.

Last Friday, British Chargé d'Affaires in Russia Daney Dolakia was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry to express a strong protest in connection with London's further increase in supplies of UAVs and other weapons systems to the Kyiv regime. The Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE, Dmitry Polyansky, previously stated that Russia has the right to interpret Britain’s activity in supplying drones to Kyiv as London’s direct participation in the conflict with the Russian Federation.

Russia believes that arms supplies to Ukraine interfere with the settlement, directly involve NATO countries in the conflict and are “playing with fire.” The Kremlin stated that pumping Ukraine up with weapons from the West does not contribute to negotiations and will have a negative effect.
