The international coalition led by the United States has completed the transfer of all military bases to the Iraqi armed forces.

After September 30, there will be no coalition combat or training forces left in Iraq.

ISTANBUL, September 27 - RIA Novosti. The international coalition led by the United States has completed the transfer of all military bases to the Iraqi armed forces, said the head of the Iraqi security press service, Saad Maan.

"The international coalition has handed over all military bases and headquarters to the Iraqi authorities. After September 30, there will be no coalition combat or training forces left in Iraq," Maan told Al-Jazeera.

Maan stressed that the Iraqi military is ready to take over security throughout the country after the withdrawal of coalition troops. According to him, relations with the coalition countries will be built on a bilateral basis.

Iraqi authorities have repeatedly stated that they have set September 30 as the final date for the withdrawal of coalition troops.

In 2014, the United States initiated the creation of an international anti-terrorism coalition to combat the terrorist organization Islamic State* (IS*) and in August of the same year launched Operation Inherent Resolve against jihadists in Iraq and Syria. This coalition included more than 60 countries, and its actions were carried out without the direct sanction of the UN Security Council.
