The source added that the Turkish Trabzonspor star was seriously considering apologizing for playing in the next match against South Sudan, due to the state of anger that gripped him after his substitution.

The source added that Hani Abu Raida, President of the Egyptian Football Association, will hold an urgent session with Mohamed Salah in an attempt to persuade the national team captain to abandon the idea of ​​apologizing and continue with the Pharaohs during the next stage.

With this result, the Egyptian national team lost two points at home in the opening of its campaign in the second group of the 2027 African Cup of Nations qualifiers after a goalless draw with Angola, while Malawi achieved a victory over South Sudan 2-1 in the same round, to lead the group early with three points.
