Garlasco murder, Andrea Sempio's defense awaits new evidence from the prosecutor's office

"We can only wait to read the new evidence from the Prosecutor's Office, we had presented our counterarguments on the previous ones but we can only wait to read what has been filed".

Liborio Cataliotti who with his colleague Angela Taccia defends Andrea Sempio, the only suspect for the murder of Chiara Poggi in Garlasco (Pavia) on 13 August 2007, thus explains the defensive attitude so far. The new notice of the end of the investigation is scheduled for September 28th.

Cataliotti explains that he is also awaiting a possible request for review of the defense of Alberto Stasi, Chiara's boyfriend at the time, definitively convicted of the murder, and any initiatives from the Milan Prosecutor's Office in this regard.

Yesterday, among the last investigative acts of the Pavia Prosecutor's Office, the former Ris general Luciano Garofano was heard, who dealt with the scientific findings in the 2007 investigation.

"I don't make any comments on the investigation. We are waiting for the 415 bis", said Garofano regarding the closure of the investigation, in this case the second which would be notified to Sempio.

It would not be a modification of the charge for multiple murder for which Sempio must answer but the same with the addition of the notification of the additions to the consultancy.
