“Yandex invested more than 7.5 billion rubles in the launch of a new direction, Yandex Security, and brought to the market AI-SPM class solutions for protecting AI infrastructures - from hybrid to multi-cloud,” writes the Izvestia newspaper, citing information received from the company.

As noted, this is due to the fact that autonomous agents based on artificial intelligence have become one of the key cyber threats in 2026. Now you need to protect not only servers and databases, but also digital assistants that can independently perform actions within corporate systems.

The new direction of Yandex Security will protect cloud, hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure. The company explained to the newspaper that the solutions are based on expertise in protecting large and distributed systems, as well as on developments with SolidLab (in 2025, Yandex acquired 50% of this company).

“Our technologies can significantly increase the speed of implementation of information security tools... We have combined our information security solutions, including developments with SolidLab, to ensure the protection of any infrastructure,” Evgeny Sidorov, director of information security at Yandex Cloud, told Izvestia.

In addition to Yandex, other companies also presented their solutions. The newspaper noted that Sber at the GigaConf conference showed a model of AI maturity of organizations, which allows in 15-30 minutes to assess the readiness of processes to implement intelligent agents, and the AppSec Solutions company updated solutions to control the use of generative AI and reduce the risks of “shadow AI” (situations when employees use public neural networks in work processes).
